STUDIO VISIT WITH JOAN YOUNG,
DIRECTOR OF CURATORIAL AFFAIRS at the GUGGENHEIM MUSEUM*

Joan Young, Director of Curatorial Affairs at the Guggenheim Museum in NYC, will be visiting Easthampton, MA in October 2017. Young will be visiting the Valley as a distinguished guest speaker for Easthampton City Arts’ upcoming installment of Grist for the Mill, a salon speaker series that welcomes contemporary thought-makers to a local, engaging, public stage. As part of Young’s visit, she will be offering two studio visits, of 45-60 minutes each, to selected ECA artists on Saturday October 14, 2017. Young will make the final selection for studio visits. ECA GALLERY
The ECA Gallery is located in Easthampton’s historic Old Town Hall building in the heart of downtown Easthampton, MA. The gallery is 150 square feet and is designed to highlight the work of individual artists, through solo shows, two-person shows, and group shows. Exhibiting at ECA Gallery includes a monthly Art Walk event, drawing 200-500 people each month.

MAP GALLERY
MAP Gallery is located on the main floor of Eastworks, located in the historic Mill District of Easthampton, MA. Collaborations and group projects are encouraged. The Mill Arts Project (MAP) is a collaboration between Easthampton City Arts and Eastworks and is specifically designed to support an emerging curatorial program in a public, community-based setting. Creative people of all genres are encouraged to apply. Prospective curators will be selected based on creative merit, originality and conceptual development, probability of successful execution, public engagement, and qualifications. MAP Gallery is approximately 650 square feet. Exhibiting at MAP Gallery includes a monthly Art Walk event, drawing 200-500 people each month. Email arts@easthampton.org with any questions.
