Priya Green

Throughout the pandemic, I was pregnant and anticipating my second child. I created these paintings during this period of change in the world outside and within my own body. During this time, I observed flowers that sat by my window sill and changed throughout the day and every day. That feeling of impermanence is something that I felt deeply during this time and I know was felt in the world around me. Painting these flowers as fragments that are pieced back together reflect the quiet chaos of my personal and domestic life.
