Oxbow Gallery will exhibit the works of Elizabeth Lehman and Will Sillin in January’s front gallery show “Ground Truth”.  Lehman interprets “Ground Truth” with an emphasis on “Ground”, as an artist with passion for being physically present and one with the landscapes she paints. She states “I return to the same location in different seasons and at various times of day for close, direct observation over many days or weeks. The particulars of a given place at a given time make it unique.” Sillin describes “Ground Truth” as “the term used by mappers and researchers for direct observations made in the field.” He interprets the title with an emphasis on “Truth”, as he captures his subject with great care in an attempt to maintain the truth of its nature. Sillin will be sharing the front gallery show with Oxbow artist Elizabeth Lehman.
