Dear Friends,

We are thrilled to announce the second round of grantees for the ECA Artist Grants Initiative. The response to this “open call” was overwhelming, making this the most competitive application process at Easthampton City Arts in recent history. We received an exceptional number of solid applications, both from artists we’ve worked with before and also from artists looking to share their work in Easthampton for the very first time.

After a deeply thoughtful and thorough review process, the selection committee chose to support a total of 20 artists during this second cycle, rather than the originally intended 15. Each and every one of the selected projects offers a platform and opportunity for meaningful public participation and engagement.

We encourage you to follow us on Facebook & Instagram, where we’ll continue to share any and all information about projects funded through our Artist Grants Initiative, with details about how you can participate. It’s also a great way to get to know our grantees and all of the exceptional work they’re doing beyond the scope of these grants.

We extend our sincere appreciation to each and every person throughout our extended community who has helped make the ECA Artist Grants Initiative possible, as it has been a truly collective and community-generated effort. Last week, we secured the final penny of our $20,000 fundraising campaign—ALL of which is being granted directly to local and regional artists through this program.

A huge and heartfelt THANK YOU to every campaign contributor, every applicant, every grantee, and every single one of you who has showed up to support our beloved community of artists during this still-vulnerable and unprecedented time. We appreciate you, your generosity, and your support—in all the forms and expressions it comes in. And, gigantic thanks once again to River Valley Coop for their generous matching grant of $5,000—we appreciate your ongoing generosity, partnership, and community leadership so much!

We’re thrilled to announce the second round of ECA Artist Grants Initiative Recipients!
