Dear Friends,

We are thrilled and honored to announce the six selected artists who will be participating in the first three sessions of ECA’s new studio residency program, Art Workspace Easthampton (AWE). We received an overwhelming number of strong and solid applications, making this the most competitive application process in our history. And, it became astoundingly clear through our deeply thoughtful, thorough, and extensive review process that there is tremendous need for, interest in, and value of studio residency opportunities in our area. All of us at Easthampton City Arts are committed to continue exploring options for continuing and growing this program in the months and years to come. And for now, we present to you, our Studio Residency Artists:

Eva Lin Fahey
FALL SESSION @ ECA GALLERY // PAINTING

Michelle Falcón Fontánez
FALL SESSION @ MAP SPACE // PHOTOGRAPHY & INSTALLATION

Cati Bestard Rotger
WINTER SESSION @ ECA GALLERY // PHOTOGRAPHY & INSTALLATION

Pamela Matsuda-Dunn
WINTER SESSION @ MAP SPACE // PUBLIC SCULPTURE & INSTALLATION

Chelvanaya Gabriel
SPRING SESSION @ ECA GALLERY // PAINTING & PERFORMANCE

Peter O Zierlein
SPRING SESSION @ MAP SPACE // PUBLIC SCULPTURE & INSTALLATION

Congratulations, Artists! On behalf of the entire selection committee*, we applaud you all and look forward to working with you in the months to come! And to everyone else, be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram where we will be posting about the artists and their projects as their residency experiences unfold. In addition, each artist will be offering an Artist Talk and a Public Sharing through this program—stay tuned for more details to come!
