Poetry Picnic

Poetry Picnic: Come as you are. Leave with a poem.
Join us on the library annex lawn (or inside if it rains) during Art Walk for a free, drop-in afternoon of poetry, conversation, and summer treats.
Whether you’ve been writing for years or haven’t picked up a pen since grade school, you’re invited. Stay for ten minutes or the whole afternoon. There are no critiques, no pressure, and no experience required.
Grab a notebook, enjoy a dessert, and respond to gentle writing prompts inspired by the season—or simply listen. Throughout the afternoon, local poets will offer brief readings, and together we’ll create a community poem one line at a time.
Come alone or bring a friend. Leave with a notebook full of observations, a poem you didn’t expect, and perhaps a few new friends.
