Witt & Ashe have both been working on a small scale for their upcoming exhibit “Collections”. They feel people need art, now more than ever, and with small pieces, they are more accessible and can fit anywhere in the home or workplace. Collecting groups of art can also be a fun way to combine them by color, style, texture, or any other similar or contrasting features. They both work with some abstraction and lots of color, with Ashe focusing on text related to her life and work. Meeting in a printmaking workshop, years ago, they found that in spite of their different generations, they immediately found common ground in how they work and play with art. Combining their work for their shows at Oxbow Gallery always seems to find a commonality, creating an ongoing dialogue between the artists and their creations.
