``I was held up a gun point in NYC in Fort Tryon Park when I was 23, the most traumatic experience in my life. Fortunately, I was able to talk the man out of raping me but he stole my camera, money and courage.

My house construction, “Broken House with Gun” reflects the viewer while looking down a barrel of gun. This puts you in the shoes of the victim. It puts you in my shoes and how shattered my life was….

The barrage of gun violence in America has gotten worse since my youth. Art can heal the soul, it helps process the horrific events and brings peace to my soul.``
