Lily Fariborz

The world is feeling fragile and ready to rip apart at any moment. I am trying to show that with my ceramic worlds. The bottom layer is stoneware, hard and durable. The top layer is glass, soft and quick to break. All the world’s protective clay lips snapped off in the glaze firing but not all the bases broke and none of them broke enough that they are no longer recognizable. It’s how we treat them now that will show what is going to happen. What can and should be saved and our ability to work together to do it.
