Jane Lincoln

ENOUGH. This series portrays 41 mass shootings in the United States. Following a grid format, each work consists of holes hammered through black paper. One ragged hole for each gunshot death as if shot by a bullet. The composition is determined by the sequence of the incident. The colors selected to represent the victims are significant and were chosen for their connection to the location as well as to the victim. The intent is to make visual the hard, cold facts and prompt the viewer to reflect on the real loss of life.
