I don’t know how I would have survived the early phases of this awful pandemic without art (and our dog, Spring!) . Only when I am painting do I lose myself in beauty and color. Art silences those chattering monkeys of anxiety in my mind. Watercolor painting has been a godsend of ‘self-care’ to help me with cope with the stresses of my real-world work as a Homeless Liaison/Social Worker in a local public school district…especially during these difficult Covid times.
