Chelvanaya Gabriel 🕯️

These pieces represent personal, collective and transtemporal trauma, and the rage/grief that flare up and threaten to consume us, along with their mirror, love, that can make space for and validate the pain. One piece represents these feelings radiating from our ancestors. Another represents a dissociative existence like that which is experienced when we are dehumanized; when fear causes us to dehumanize others; and, the life-altering actions that become possible in either situation.
