Bobbie Salthouse

My submission is a video based on a recent monoprint I made, and digitally altered in Photoshop and assembled in IMovie. I have never made a video before, but I decided for this exhibit a video would most effectively express my reaction to these tragic events that keep recurring almost daily.

316 people in the United States are shot everyday, on average. 106 of them are killed. That adds up to 115,551 people who are shot every single year, and 38,826 of them die. The rest will have severe trauma and/or permanent disabilities. As a printmaker, and in conjunction with Wear Orange: An Art Exhibition, this short video is my personal response to these shocking statistics.
