DESCRIPTION:On February 1\, To Cause a Tiger presents CLOSER 2 with Arda Collins and Megan Marden. \nCLOSER is a reading and art series that pairs a writer and a visual artist for an evening of intimate conversation about their work and the creative process. On February 1st at 7pm\, we’re excited to host Arda Collins and Megan Marden. \nArda Collins is the author of It Is Daylight (2009)\, which was awarded the Yale Series of Younger Poets Prize. She is also a recipient of the Sarton Award for Poetry from the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Her second collection of poems is forthcoming from The Song Cave. She teaches at Smith College. \nMegan Marden is a painter based in Danbury\, Connecticut. Megan received her MFA in painting from Western Connecticut State University in 2012. Her paintings have been included in exhibitions at UConn\, Trinity College\, The Painting Center (NYC)\, First Street Gallery (NYC)\, and Blue Mountain Gallery (NYC). She has taught at WCSU\, Naugatuck Valley Community College and is currently a professor at Post University in Waterbury\, CT.
