DESCRIPTION:Easthampton Futures Project : Prototyping Possibility \nEasthampton City Arts & the City of Easthampton’s Planning Department\, working in partnership with Dpict\, are thrilled to announce the Easthampton Futures Project\, a series of facilitated community workshops that will invite members of our community to envision and articulate the future of Arts & Culture for the City of Easthampton. \nThe information generated in these public sessions will provide the foundation for the next iteration of the Arts & Culture chapter of the City of Easthampton’s Master Plan. \nWe propose an interactive and collaborative process to identify ideas\, establish priorities\, and work with City officials to bring these ideas into being. Graceful navigation of this transition will create lasting impact\, today and tomorrow. We will start with exploring the future of Arts & Culture in Easthampton. \nJune 1st: Prototyping Possibility\nWe we will explore possible futures and their implications. Follow along with an intrepid captain and her first mate as they run across all manner of sea creatures while sailing the seven seas. Starfish\, pirates\, jellyfish\, crabs and sailors will entertain you with amazing circus performances including dynamic partner acrobatics and stunning aerial feats on the rope\, horizontal hoop\, and trapeze\, as well as hand balancing\, stilt dancing\, unicycling and much more. This performance by SHOW Circus Studio’s Youth Performance Troupe and circus teachers is fun for the whole family.

DESCRIPTION:Cultural Chaos 2019 is happening on Saturday June 8th\, 2019 from 12-5PM.\nThis year\, the theme is “Show Us Your Culture”! \nCultural Chaos is our Annual Street Festival with a Twist\, highlighting and celebrating the local artists\, performers\, and businesses that make Easthampton unique! Cultural Chaos takes place in Easthampton’s Cottage Street Cultural District on the second Saturday of June. Each year\, the event’s visioning\, planning\, and implementation is a real team effort between ECA\, the Cottage Street Cultural District Subcommittee\, local sponsors\, and more than 100+ volunteers. \n\nThere’s something for everyone at Cultural Chaos! Puppets\, stilt-walkers\, circus acts\, dancers\, musicians\, and performance artists – plus a variety of restaurants\, artists\, makers\, poets\, and literaries. Creative hearts from every discipline line the street and open their businesses’ doors to share their unique wares and imaginations with the 10\,000+ attendees who come from far and wide each year. DESCRIPTION:#LOCAL Gallery is accepting submissions for its next show\, “The Wonderful World of Water”. Artists of all backgrounds and working in all media are encouraged to apply. \nAll media is eligible for consideration: all visual arts\, painting\, drawing\, sculpture\, and video. We are open to seeing other mediums as well. Our theme is water. We are open to many different styles and formats and thinking and creating outside of the box. The show opens on July 13th will be up until August 4th. We will consider 3D as well as 2D work. Abstract art is welcome too. $35 for one up to three images; $5 for each additional image.
