DESCRIPTION:The Elusie Gallery @ Old Town Hall \nA selection of prints\, drawings and paintings\, all inspired by our connection to Water. \nAlso happening\, as part of this exhibit: \nThursday\, September 25\, 7pm. Visual artist Amanda Barrow will discuss her exhibition “Conversations with Water” at the Elusie Gallery Immediately afterwards\, musicians Carl Clements and Darryl Harper will ”Play to the Artwork”\, improvising while responding to the art on the wall. For one hour\, the two musicians will create a dedicated sonar meditation. What is shared with the viewer/listener is an experience which will be absolutely ”of the moment”.

SUMMARY:"Amanda Barrow: Conversations With Water"
DESCRIPTION:Amanda Barrow will exhibit her unique paintings and monotype one-of-a-kind prints at the Elusie Gallery at Big Red Frame from September 6-27\, 2025\, in a show entitled “Conversations With Water”. All artworks are inspired by her keen observations and interactions with water – for example\, either swimming in or under the ocean water or in pools\, sitting on top of water while kayaking in the Connecticut River or the Atlantic Ocean\, listening to waves gurgle and crash\, or watching icicles melt on Mt Tom in Holyoke\, MA. Giant color grids of color blocks will fill the gallery walls\, as well as thin slices of painted landscapes will be seen.  Additionally\, a special artist’s talk and musical event will take place on Thursday\, September 25 from 6-7.30pm (thanks to a grant from the Easthampton Cultural Council & Mass Cultural Council). Join us in celebrating Amanda’s 40 years of artmaking!
