We are proud to present “The Way Out Is Through: A reflection on the time of Covid” by Jen Turner. \n  \n“When beginning a piece\, I start by curating a collection of images that speak to me. The images that inspire me belong in nature’s life cycle – lush green landscapes\, ocean waves\, decaying buildings\, people living. Choosing from these images\, I am layering them in a way that makes visual sense to my eye. Certain everyday items may become focal points\, fantastical images in others. DESCRIPTION:Stay cool in CitySpace’s Blue Room in Old Town Hall during Art Walk Easthampton. Enjoy classic songs from Spain and Latin America performed by guitarist Tony Silva. Free and open to all. \nTony Silva has been playing acoustic guitar for over 40 years. Early influences range from Stephen Stills to Andrés Segovia. His father Pedro Silva was from Chile\, and passed on the love of the music of the Andes Mountains. As a solo performer\, Silva specializes in Rumba Flamenca (the style of the Gipsy Kings). He also plays a wide range of music from Latin America\, and transcribes flute and harp music from the Andes for guitar. His repertoire includes rumbas\, waltzes\, boleros\, and huapangos with songs from Spain\, Mexico\, Cuba\, Colombia\, Brazil\, Venezuela\, Argentina\, Paraguay\, Peru\, Chile and lots of Gipsy Kings!
