Welcome from Mayor Tautznik On behalf of the people of Easthampton, welcome to the Easthampton City Arts website. Easthampton, a city with 16,000 residents, is located in the fertile Connecticut River valley of western Massachusetts and is rich in the flavor of an industrial New England village. Easthampton has evolved from a rural farming village to a flourishing mill town and now to a vibrant and diverse community with a wealth of artists, retail shops, restaurants and recreational opportunities. Our old mill buildings, once bustling with manufacturing enterprises, now bustle with creative and cultural activities. Browsing the pages of the more than 100 artists and arts-related businesses on this website dramatically highlights the talent based in this city. In addition to the visual arts, Easthampton offers a variety of musical performances each week-end and is home to nationally recognized woodworking craftspeople. When you come to town for the monthly ArtWalk or the semi-annual Open Studio Week-ends or visits to our galleries, please spend some time walking the Manhan Rail Trail, enjoying beautiful Nashawannuck Pond, dining at one of our fine restaurants, or simply browsing the many retail shops downtown or at Eastworks.
