At Stargazer Studios we carefully select new, vintage, and pre-loved materials to create pieces with unique style. Each one is handcrafted for years of enjoyment.
Stargazer Studios is comprised of Marcia Shaw, a seamstress and designer with over forty years of professional experience, and her daughter Karen Shaw Suriner, a designer, bead and textile artist, writer, and vocalist. Marcia's resume includes sewing and design support for legendary fiber artists like Susan Neal, Marcia Phillips, and Cynthia Krause. She is also skilled in quilting, knitting, crochet, spinning, dyeing, embroidery, and beadwork. Karen has also worked for Phillips and Krause, and her work for Camille Benjamin Designs can be seen at fine craft shows nationwide. She also creates jewelry with her extensive collection of new and vintage beads and writes about fashion and crafting.
