Valley CDC seeks to empower low and moderate income people and minorities to control and improve the quality of their lives. We accomplish this through the development of affordable housing, providing economic opportunities and encouraging community leadership. Valley currently works in three very important issue areas: Housing Services, Real Estate Development, Small Business Development
Valley CDC is a non-profit corporation formed in 1988 by Casa Latina, a local non-profit agency, to address the growing needs of low and moderate income people through developing and preserving affordable rental and ownership housing, cultivating economic self-sufficiency and fostering community leadership. The impetus for forming Valley CDC was to address the shortage of affordable housing and the shrinkage of blue collar jobs in the Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts. Valley CDC's main office is located in Northampton, MA. Our service area is comprised of Northampton, Easthampton, Amherst, and Hadley.
