Lisa Quinones Photography
I excel at shooting portraits and portrait moments - dynamic and engaging photos of people in everyday life where they are the hero of the moment. My images are dramatic, but it’s not a drama out of context. The backgrounds in my images are informational, but also serve as design elements to showcase everything the subject is at that moment. My curiosity and passion, coupled with my artistic eye and love of people and travel, has led to a versatile and successful career as a freelance photographer. From editorial to corporate – my work has taken me from covering news and politics worldwide, to the executive suite and the factory floor and has uniquely qualified me to produce high quality, dynamic images of any situation.
After 20 years working as an editorial and corporate photographer in NYC, I spent four years exploring life in Southeast Europe from my home in Belgrade, Serbia - an experience which has lent greater depth to my work and which resulted in the exhibition, “Balkan Odyssey,” which has been shown internationally in Serbia, Greece and Bosnia and Herzegovina. "Balkan Odyssey" was most recently shown at the ECA+ Gallery in Easthampton, MA.
As a staff photographer for the Black Star photo agency in NYC from 1989-2009, I photographed local and international news stories, politics, portraits and feature stories for a wide variety of magazines and newspapers world-wide, corporate annual reports, non-profit organizations and public relations firms.
My editorial work has appeared in such publications as Business Week, Time, Newsweek, US News & World Report, People, Forbes, Stern, German Geo and The New York Times. Corporate clients include Alcoa, Morgan Stanley, ExxonMobil, NASD, The Gap, Discovery Communications, QVC, Bard College, Hertz and the William T. Grant Foundation among others.
I am now specializing in portraits and portrait moments for corporate, educational, health care and designers from my home base in Western Mass.
Exhibitions include "Tibet, A New Reality" and "Balkan Odyssey"
