Mission: THREAD Arts Collective WILL PROVIDE:
A Shared Art experience- Rotating Gallery, Small Performance Space, Rehearsal Space, Music Recording, Music and Video Editing, Photography and Graphic Design, Young Peopleís focused Art Workshops, Art and Music Workshops, Summer Camps.
A Shared Community experience- Collaborative, Diversity focused workshops that blend Local Cultures and World Cultures through Music, Theater, Conversations, Featured local artists and Giving Back through charitable means.
Expert and Professional training to All Levels and Ages of Students- Three Teachers Based at THREAD and Professional Guest Artists will teach Workshops and Master Classes, Opportunities for students and workshop attendees to Learn and Grow through artistic Development, Exploration, Self Direction, Group Dynamics, Problem Solving, Critical Thinking, and Fun. THREADís Core Instructors offer classes in Music, African Drumming, Classic and Modern Theater, Filmmaking among many other mediums to be determined.

Percussion Masterclass - Ancient Instruments in Contemporary Music

Hear from professional percussionists who have worked with the Lion King musical, Fela! broadway musical and Cirque Du Soleil, about how they have taken the sounds and rhythms of ancient instruments from all over the globe, and added color to modern compositions that have made the music what it is today.
Attendees will be encouraged to engage the artists in dialogue as well as join in an on the spot groove with percussion instruments!
