Boardwalk Art Show

May 13 - June 07
Mill 180 Park
180 Pleasant Street

On view this month are the gorgeously visceral "Icelandic Landscapes" by artist Dan Rowe and "Another Sticky Situation" - a sequel to last month's "A Sticky Situation". These artists share an acute sense of the natural world and a ruggedly personal response to their experiences. Dan Roe is an artist originally from Hyde Park, New York. Dan currently teaches Visual Arts at the Williston Northampton School, where, he focuses on painting and digital media. In his current work, Dan finds inspiration in his travels and the beauty of the landscapes he finds himself in. This current body of work is all inspired by a trip to Iceland last Spring, where he was struck by the grandeur and drama of the terrain. Dan Manson, currently our part-time resident artist, maintains a work space in Northampton, where he creates his magic. We are fortunate to house his whimsical mushrooms and other earthly creatures here in the Park. The work on view in our back alley gallery are highly personal stick works, evoking the depths of the forest.
